Mission Accomplished!

So again…

LOLCats just say it best

Yeah. But it’s okay, one day closer to VACATION.

Let’s recap the To-Do List shall we?

Friday:

  • Stop at grocery store and get necessities for tonight and tomorrow morning DONE
  • Relax, nap if needed DONE
  • Cardio. Even if it’s a crap session, it’s cardio…… DONE
  • Revise meal plan for new “high day” DONE

I did NOT want to get off the couch. I got sucked in, I was curled up with a blanket, the Fritz and season 1 of Brothers and Sisters. Every excuse imaginable was running through my head, I still had a fever (did not), I was tired (was just lazy), I could do it Saturday… making it a double cardio day (HA… like THAT would happen).

So alas, I pried my butt off the couch, bought myself a “treat” and headed downtown.

First one in MONTHS... tasted so so good

Was it super high energy? Nope.

Was it done? Yup!

I knocked out my 40 minutes while watching the end of the fitness routines and figure finals at the arnold on my phone. Physically it felt like I was sweating out snot, but mentally it was EXACTLY what I needed. I have trouble taking time off. Once I take one unplanned day or rearrange my schedule I find it super hard to get back into my groove. This cardio session really perked me up and set me on the straight and narrow for the weekend! In the words of Charlie Sheen…. WINNING!

Saturday:

  • Clean house Quite a bit done
  • Gym for shoulders/back, 20 minutes cardio DONE
  • Go buy train ticket, check baggage check in times  DONE… Can check bag after cardio/before work!
  • Dig out suitcase and cooler for trip DONE
  • Make lists/pack anything already clean and ready to go Lists? Oh… I made lists!
  • Plan out meals/workout schedule for the week  Started… Need final confirmation on no changes from Joe

After breakfast Saturday I looked outside (took me long enough?!) and saw… rain? Srsly?! I checked the weather. There was a “rainfall warning in effect” for the day. It didn’t look too bad so I suited up in snowboard socks, my galoshes, and my waterproof winter jacket and set out.

Best $10 Diesel sample sale purchase EVER

I returned/rented dvds, went to two grocery stores, a pharmacy and Zellars. Despite a run in with a very snot faced woman at the second grocery store (and my money refunded to me by a MUCH nicer manager), splashing through puddles on my way home kept me in a good mood.

Sale shopping is definitly my thing, all these stores are in one area so while it seems like I ran all over the place I was home in less than two hours with a packpack full of (cheap!) goodies!

Sunday:

  • Leg day, 20 minutes cardio (FIRST THING) Got there by 1pm. Successfully avoiding gym creeper. WIN
  • Groceries, errands, fun stuff Picked up the last of the stuff I needed on my way home from gym
  • Pack meals for Monday-Thursday at work Mon-Wed done. Thursday plan needs finalizing
  • Prep and label all meals for Thursday night/Friday on train Waiting on Joe!
  • Laundry and packing DONE!

VERY accomplished Sunday!

...unklike someone who never left the couch all day... and night....

I was hoping to squeeze in an eyebrow wax since they couldn’t do it Saturday, but sadly they weren’t open yesterday. Not a big deal, I can squeeze it in one night this week!

a tan would be nice to fit in too.... Canadians should NOT wear shorts in March... EVER

While Saturday was a rainfall warning yesterday began a winter storm warning… by the end of today we could be staring down two FEET… yes FEET of snow… FML.

View from gym between ab sets. Gross. Just Gross

I slept like absolute garbage last night. Passed out hard at 9pm, was up at 10:50 and wide awake until almost 2am. Needless to say my 4:54 alarm sucked pretty hard. But oddly enough I find when I don’t sleep well it’s easier to get up. Who knows why, but it is what it is!

So it’s Monday, I’m making final lists… to do, to buy, to pack…

Time to invest in Post-It stock?!

Lots to get done this week, but hey, it’ll be worth it to be able to relax for a week!

How was your weekend?

Does it make you feel badass when you actually cross EVERYTHING off your list?!

Comments
  1. I LOVE your galoshes!!!!!!!

  2. I always feel badass crossing one thing off my list ha. And Northern New Yorkers should never ever wear shorts in March either.

Um….you got those boots for 10 dollars. Why yes, I’ll be coming to Montreal soon to uh steal them from you. 😉

  3. Alina says:

It is so satisfying to get items crossed off. I love the way Fritz cuddles under blankets like he’s a human.

  4. I’ve been digging rain boots lately too. I almost bought a pair on Friday! I’m motivated to go back 😉

  5. biz319 says:

I had to laugh out loud at your Charlie Sheen reference “winning!” He is such an a-hole and he doesn’t even know it – I’ve never known anyone to have a bigger ego!

I am so sorry for your snow – thankfully this time of year it doesn’t last too long. Today is my daughters birthday and there were times when I had to shovel 6 inches of snow before her party, and other times I’ve made water balloons because it was so warm – go figure!

  6. Sarah says:

I hear you with the tan thing, I am like ghostly white and living in NH doesn’t help much! I’ll admit, I even use tanning lotion in the winter so I can bear to wear booty shorts to the gym! Ha!

AWESOME job on your list 🙂

  7. marlopnwgirl says:

Rainboots! Yes! I have two pairs! Some sweet black badass ones.. then of course the custie pink plaid ones.. Only makes sense to have two pairs in Seattle!

You did get a lot done missy! Much more than i can say for myself! ugh

  8. Lisa says:

You know, I can get up easier when I’ve had crappy sleep too. What’s up with that?

  9. Allie says:

I LOVE crossing off my to-do list 🙂 I also love the rain boots!!
