Running Beast

I know what I need to do.

I just need to actually DO it.

I’ve got my gym notebook out and a pen on top ready to start this list.

I’m writing goals, a plan and everything I need to be successful… with dates and a timeline.

Yesterday was the Marathon By the Sea here. On my drive into town I was stopped by police to allow runners to go through the intersection. While I have ZERO desire to ever run for more than 40-50 minutes… which means unless I get CRAZY fast… I will never run a half marathon or a full marathon… but seeing those runners yesterday reminded me I need a goal, I need to have that satisfaction in my life.

I know I can set goals and make plans on my own, but I really think a race is what is in the cards for me.

Today marked my first morning cardio since prep. I really just needed to get moving. I feel swollen, sore and just… gross. It’s not pleasant.

This week is just about getting moving…. next week it’s on.

September 11th is the most probably race day… so here goes nothing.

  3. It’s funny because I can’t imagine doing shorter races for fun – BUT I am not speedy AT ALL.

    Go for it! Hey, what’s the worst that could happen, you don’t want to do another one? But, i feel like you’ve started getting the bug for running. I think you might actually like it. I’m excited for you!
