Wild and crazy weekend here.
Gym, sitting around, grocery shopping, more sitting around, gym, even more sitting around.
I slept super poorly Friday night. I had a lot on my mind and I just couldn’t shut it off. At all. I’ve got a few things going on up there that I was having a super hard time shaking. I think I’ve made peace with it, but I know it’s going to be a big step coming my way soon.
I’m so not ready to be a grown up…. So I did what anyone avoiding adulthood would do.
I don’t know what it is, but ever since he moved in here he LOVES sleeping on the pillows…. and I love annoying him. But that’s really no different than in Montreal.
Saturday mom and I headed to town to do some errands. The usual costco sized bag of broccoli and honeycrisp was bought, some chicken, some steak, another tub of veggie protein powder. The usual. Excitement city.
After we got home it was off to the gym. Totally awesome shoulder/ab workout and cardio was even great. I’m really confused by the broscience going down at my gym though. There are a few guys training for a different show here in my hometown (ON MY BIRTHDAY) and they do a TON of cardio… walking backwards… on the stepmill… in hoodies.
I sweat just looking at them.
But maybe I’m just a sweaty gross mess? Whatever. I’m a catch.
Saturday night was when things got wild and crazy. I hung out at home in my sweats… watching tv… doing laundry… crockpotting the steak… painting my nails more obnoxious than me…
Because you know I got places to go, people to impress.
… and by places i mean the gym? work? Oh! After the gym today I met up with the family who were having brunch at Britt’s Pub in town. I had two (more) cups of coffee while dreaming of a birthday brunch April 22nd. You know. Important stuff. Mimosas instead of coffee of course.
Speaking of April 22nd… my stockpile of things I want to eat according to holidays has begun. Oh yes, instead of Easter candy this year it is apparently Christmas themed goodies?
The rest of the afternoon was the usual Sunday meal prep, hanging with mom and Stella while everyone was at the Seadogs game and now relaxing.
It’s so nice having slightly more counter space going on in mom’s kitchen. It makes me really not miss my tiny little galley kitchen in the old home. At all.
And now it’s 7:30… almost time to get up and eat (again) and pack my bags for tomorrow… and by bags I mean purse. That’s right, it’s a rest day. I’m sleeping in and carrying a purse instead of a gym bag. Wow, I’m such a chick.
How was your weekend? Anything more exciting than mine?
