Well Happy Valentines Day to You Too!

Posted: February 14, 2012 in Uncategorized

Well… Happy Valentine’s Day! But yeah….  joke’s on you buddy…

commit Well you know… to anyone but myself.

Today started my first of three 12:30-9pm shifts. Yuck.

My alarm was set for 7, with plans to be at the gym by 8:30. You know, 30 minutes drive time, one hour lazy time. Perfect.

I woke up around 6:15 to a scary reality, two cats on my bed. World war 3 could erupt at any minute, but I was more concerned about my head. I felt like garbage. I dragged my butt to the bathroom, popped an advil and a cold and sinus pill, grabbed a box of kleenex and reset my alarm for 7:30 as I crawled back into bed. Thankfully that did the trick and when the alarm went off I didn’t feel awesome, but i felt halfway normal.

When I got up I poured some coffee and chilled for a few while I ate, then headed off to the gym for chest/abs and.. ugh… walking lunges. No idea what they were doing in the plan, but I did them and cursed every step. I was not looking forward to cardio. At all. 30 minutes of intervals machine jumping. Ugh. Not fun, but after the first 2-3 minutes I felt so much better and it ended up being great.

Work was…. Long. My first break was 40 minutes late. So my meal was 40 minutes late. I was not happy and feeling really gross by the time i finally got to eat. I had a lot of pissed off clients today, but ended the day on a few really good notes so I can’t complain. I also lucked out and finished EXACTLY at nine, so it was a breeze to punch out and well… run!

Walking in the front door has never felt so good. To drop my bag, grab some food and flop onto the couch.

… and the best part? while I was cooking in the kitchen mom popped in and did the “I know you can’t have it until after your show… but I had to get you something!”

and that something? yeah… I believe when the commercial played for this the other day I said I would sell my shoe collection for a taste of it.

photo (22) Chocolate with peanut butter and pretzels? Hells yes!

To the post show stockpile it goes!

… sadly there isnt’ much in it. I think it would be a little gross to have a bag of brussels sprouts rotting in my room… but I wouldn’t put it past me?

How was your Valentine’s day?! Anyone else not really caring and treating it like it’s just any other Tuesday?!

… Dont forget to ask away any questions you have about prep! I’m going to start putting everything together asap!

Good work making it happen even on a “low day”!

I spent Valentine’s Day evening in the gym doing legs. I had a serious headache from a Tetnus shot I got that AM, had only eaten 3 of my 6 meals (I usually get to 5 before my PM workout), and had drunk only about a 1/4 of the water I normally do…BUT I made it happen and had a great workout!

    Here’s to powering through!

I don’t have a question exactly about what you do, but more so some good ways to strengthen for me or someone just needed to tone. I highly respect what you’re doing. It takes a lot of discipline and dedication. Props to you!

I guess what I was wondering is if you recommend a website or can personally recommend some small routines to work particular areas. I do the machines, but I know sometimes the order in which you do certain strength exerices can make them more effective. There are a multitude of sites out there, but I never know which are legit and which are. I’d love to know what you might recommend!

  3. I saw this ecard yesterday and cracked up. I said I really need a holiday like that to happen. And somehow incorporate vodka…

  4. Yesterday was definitely just another Tuesday for me. My Valentine was Bo my cutie pie puppy.

I love being able to come home and plop onto the couch for the night! It’s sometime that always seems to be at the top of my list to-do for the night.

  5. I just love your prep posts. No questions right now but I’m sure I’ll think of some.

I kept my Valentine’s Day casual…you know…just me, the gym and well me. Ha. Um and BTW-I’m addicted to brussel sprouts right now.

We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s day. We do tons of other fun and exciting things all year so Valentine’s is never a big hooplah over here.

Your posts crack me up…and that’s pretty much why you have been down right nominated for the Versatile Blogger award by yours truly 🙂 http://wp.me/pHJ1m-U4

(no participation necessary…just wanted to let you know I freaking love your blog so..the nomination seemed fitting)

Ah customer service! Sounds like you do some sort of inbound call center type thing. I did that for an insurance company. Some days I wanted to rip my eyes out. People can be so rude. Anyway, my V-day was nothing exciting. Like I say, I get treated like gold on a daily basis, so I don’t need one day to shove it all in my face, ya know? Screw the cliche flowers, I’d rather get those on some radom day, just because. =)

My Honey Bunny and I celebrate Valentines a little differently. We decided long ago that flowers, chocolates and all the general craziness wasn’t for us. We want company and conversation – so we went to a fast food restaurant and sat with each other and had a delightful conversation!

    Another Tuesday – but not.
